Assoc Prof Navin Niles FRACS
Specialist Endocrine and Head & Neck Surgeon
Assoc Prof Navin Niles is an accomplished Endocrine and Head and Neck Surgeon specialising in thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal and salivary gland surgery. He is a full member of the International Association of Endocrine Surgeons and Australia and New Zealand Endocrine Surgeons. He is on the International Organising Faculty of the 2nd and 3rd World Congress of Thyroid Cancer.
He is the head of translational research in thyroid and head & neck cancer at the Ingham Institute for Applied Medical Research and Western Sydney University. He has a keen interest in teaching and is the supervisor of surgical training for the southern rotation for the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
He received his medical degree from the University of New South Wales and undertook basic surgical training at Royal Prince Alfred hospital. Advanced surgical training was based at Liverpool Hospital. He received his Fellowship to the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons followed by two further years of post-graduate training in Endocrine and Head & Neck Surgery.
